I can hardly imagine the jumble of emotions that you, Ned’s family and friends, must be feeling now it’s finally over. My heart goes out to you. Through his sickness and short life, Ned brought together many people, who do not all know each other, in love, prayer and healing. That’s powerful stuff and, even of itself, a magnificent purpose for a life. Thank you Ned. With love.

We feel so sorry for your loss mate and pray you continue the love and affection you showed your son in his life now more than ever. It is only his physical self which has died his soul reunites with his Lord, who has called him back to his prescence at such an early age. Dearest Clare and Andy,
So sorry your little Edward could battle no longer; he was so strong and determined for so long; but now deserves his peace. Only hoping you can find comfort in this. My love, thoughts and prayers to you both, Arthur and Alice and all your lovely supportive family.
I will remember Edward, with such big dark brown eyes and the brightest, cheekiest smile. When people say ‘A smile that lights up a room’, well his did.
For a child of four, he has made such an impact on so many people’s lives, and I feel privileged to have known, and been able to care for him at nursery; where he made us all smile with his funny little comments. He had a great sense of humor.
From what I could see at nursery, the love he had for Arthur had that special ‘twin bond’ and although they grew in time to be able to play separately there was often an inquiring question from either of them, just to check where, or what the other one was doing. You will know this.
We had a lot of feed back off Arthur and Edward about starting school and I’m sure Alice will play that vitle role of support for Arthur. She is a gorgeous big sister.
Edward was one special little boy; but you don’t need me to tell you that. All my love Norma. xx

I’ve been following Ned’s progress over the past few weeks, thanks to Fiona. I am so very sorry for your loss. You write so eloquently about Ned that I feel like I knew him. What a special little boy and what an amazingly supportive family you have. I hope you can gain some strength from them at this very sad time.
There have been a few angels this year for me and I like to think that my auntie and my friend’s little boy have heard me when I’ve said for them to look out for Ned.

Sleep in peace, little Ned. Your bravery and spirit were an inspiration to us all, and will never be forgotten. It’s not often a four year old makes such a positive impact on the world around him, but through all those prayers and love, Ned most definitely has. To Clare, Andy, Arthur and Alice my thoughts and prayers are with you. May God be with you right now and help you through this hardest of times. With love x

May others words of love and support help you to find comfort and strength in the difficult days to come.

Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on, and cherished memories never fade because a loved one’s gone. Those we love can never be more that a thought apart. For as long there is a memory, they’ll live on in our hearts.

Edward is, and always will be a truly inspirational little boy who showed us all courage and determination no matter what life dealt him. He will always remain in our thoughts and hearts, as will his wonderful family too.

Sending you all our love Clare, Andy, Alice and Arthur xxxx

    God saw you getting tired
A cure was not to be,
So He put His arms around you, and whispered, “Come To Me.”
With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you fade away.
Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.
Many times we thought of you, many times we’ve cried,
If love alone could save you, you never would have died.
A golden heart stopped beating, your tender hands at rest,
God took you home to prove to us He only takes the best.

You generously let us in to an incredibly intimate time of your lives and I only hope if the situations were reversed I would handle it with the selflessness and dignity you have shown. You are an amazing family and Ned’s army salutes you.

Words failed me yesterday – but please know that we have all been, and will continue to be, remembering you and praying for your family. Jesus says “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” I’m not sure about Ned resting now – I think more likely he’s running and laughing – but above all, he is at peace.

It has taken me this long to clear my eyes and put finger to key pad…so, so sorry for your loss, I can’t begin to imagine the pain you must be feeling, I only met Edward briefly on his visit to our classrooms and was looking forward to getting to know him, along with his brother Arthur.
We will all take special care of Arthur in September and will always remember ‘Ned’ as an inspirational little boy with an amazing courageous family. Big hug for Alice x
